MOUNT LOGAN s/t LP ist da - wir haben noch eine handvoll pre order ueber (5 oder so)

2 songs, gemastert von James Plotkin - mount logan mischen die destruktive atmosphäre von bands wie grief mit den monotonen elementen von earth zu einem fiesen, hoffnungslosen doom / drone – rock
wenn EARTH sich nicht americana, sondern düsterem math-rock zugewandt hätten, dann wäre ungefähr MOUNT LOGAN dabei herausgekommen. prägnante gitarrenbögen im hypnotischen rhythmusbett, dabei hochgradig eindringlich, dass man sich fast auf die noch kaputtere welt freuen möchte, wie sie diese musik beschreibt. schleppend, karg, dräuend, ewig hallend und ganz groß. unser dr. flo76 meint, es würde ihn stark an switchblade erinnern, und ich geb ihm recht, obwohl sie besser und fieser als die schweden sind...
